Drama Series - Ezora

DRAMA series Ezora is set to woo television viewers with its star-studded cast. Award-winning actress Nur Fazura Sharifuddin (Fazura) is paired with talented singer-turned-actor Aszerul Nizam Abdullah (Beego) while Wan Intan Edrinaz Wan Mokhtar (Dynaz) plays the third wheel.
“The series focuses on the strengths of a young woman. Being an orphan, Ezora struggles to find her inner strength in facing obstacles and adversaries in her journey to find her true love and, ultimately, herself.

“Ezora tries her best to raise her younger sister after the sudden death of their mother who suffered a heart attack upon learning that Ezora’s planned wedding is postponed. Ezora is also concerned about the whereabouts of her fiancé, Reza, who has gone off to seek a better life in the city. He disappears without any news, “ explained Ahmad Idham.

Ahmad Idham revealed that the script had been written with Fazura in mind.

“Once I secured Fazura to play Ezora, the rest followed smoothly,” explained the director, adding that the drama also features young faces such as Fezrul Khan, Zed Zaidi and Diana Rafar.

“What I am trying to do with Ezora is to tell stories that are close to our hearts – issues such as finding a better life in the big city, the quest for true love and how one struggles grapples with death and betrayal. I believe that most of us will be able to relate to what Ezora goes through and to truly empathise with her,” said Ahmad Idham.

Filming of the drama series began in early April. The director hopes to wrap things up by July.
“There are so many similarities between Ezora and myself. Of course we have very backgrounds, but Ezora’s determination and inner strength really bowled me over. Wow! Some of the things that she has been through, how she solves her problems, even the intensity of her problems, I can safely say (and not to boast here) that I have been through it all, “ said Fazura, who added that she’s put in 100% and will continue to do so until filming ends in July.”

Twenty-eight-year-old Beego, who plays Reza the missing fiancé, is a guy who is committed to his true love, Ezora. “Because he faces financial problems, he is forced to postpone their wedding, and moves to the city to earn more money for their future together.

“Reza’s main intention is to provide the best for Ezora. But once he is in the city, he faces a culture shock and ends up inadvertently attracting the attention of Leeya, a rich girl who develops a crush on him and vows to get him at any cost.”

This, according to Beego, creates a conflict for Reza who still loves Ezora but feels that he is indebted to Leeya and her family. Besides, Reza also enjoys his current life – financial stability and a good job in the city.

“I wouldn’t say that it is very difficult to play Reza but it is quite a challenge for me as Reza has a different style of talking to different girls in his life.”

Dynaz, 25, meanwhile plays the spoilt brat Leeya who thinks money can buy her anything she wants, including Reza’s love.

“Leeya is rich and spoilt, and determined to get what she wants in life. And personally I love playing Leeya, because she’s just so different from me,” said happily married Dynaz, laughing.

“So far I have read the script up till Episode 30 but I’m really clueless as to what eventually happens to Leeya.”

You’ll just have to tune in to find out if Leeya gets her guy, or if true love endures!

HUhu...don't getting mad.Kira okey la tuh.Just anggap macam siri "language translation"punyer citer la,yang diadaptasi dalam budaya kita....But One more thing yang aku kurang setuju, watak ezora yang tinggal rumah reza walaupun mereka belum berkahwin.Lots of people complain about this scene.Mungkin kita boleh learn something from this drama, yang mana itulah realiti yang berlaku hari ini.
